Salford acquired one of largest incumbent corporate and IT services providers in 2002. Since acquisition the business has been restructured including a merger with a wireless fixed line operator. In 2006 the business was contributed as a part of joint venture with Metromedia International Group; the most dominant telecoms player in Georgia. Telenet is focused on providing highest quality and largest pool of data and voice services to the corporate clientele. The company is also one of the largest long-distance “operator-of-operators” in Georgia. Telenet developed and runs first 3 rd generation wireless mobile network in Georgia and also nearly exclusively provides high-speed wireless data services in the major metropolitan areas in Georgia.
