United States Embassy Residential Community

With a large number of embassy staff located in the capital city of Tbilisi, the US embassy faced a lack of secure and well located housing for embassy staff. In 2005 Salford entered into a construction and sale lease back programme with the US Embassy whereby Salford would acquire land and complete a gated guarded community (including pool, club house and green areas) with 45 housing units and sell/lease back the housing units to the US Embassy. As part of the project, Salford sold land to QSI, a US State Department school, who will be building a private primary and high school on the premises.

All 45 units have been sold or leased and there is further land for further expansion of the community through an additional 15 hectares of land.
